Congratulations to
the four Speed Unlimited ET Series
racers who qualified on Saturday,
April 26th for the “Pick Royce’s
Pocket Challenge”. The qualifiers
are as follows: #1169 Jake Milstead
in Top ET, #1X68 Tony Mattera in Mod
ET, #920 Ben Helland in Streetbike
ET and #2105 Nick Chiles in Junior
Dragster. These four drivers will
have their chance to pick Royce’s
pocket on Saturday, May 3rd and win
free car and driver entry at every
ET event until Saturday, August
16th!
Just before first round of this
crazy and “off the wall”
competition, each driver will be
assigned a lane by “Big Deputy
Royce.” The driver will choose a
dial-in to display on their window,
then take their chance to Pick
Royce’s Pocket by making a solo pass
in that lane to try and match the
scoreboards. But “Big Deputy Royce”
is even not requiring the drivers to
match the thousandth – all they need
to do is match the hundredth. He’s
got the confidence that no one’s
going to be able to pick his pocket
– worth a FREE car and driver pass
for their class AT EVERY ET POINTS
EVENT until its new extension date
of Saturday, August 16th!!
But Racers Beware… as Big Deputy
Royce has a few tricks of his own up
his sleeve. “No one’s gonna’ pick my
pocket,” stated Big Deputy. “I’ll be
on the PA, in the staging lanes, in
the waterbox, wherever I need to be
to taunt them all day long. I’ll be
sure to find out which lane they
prefer, then stick ‘em in the
opposite lane! I’m gonna’ rattle
their cage and laugh when they choke
tryin’ to get in my pocket!”
So the challenge is now officially
declared to Jake Milstead, Tony
Mattera, Ben Helland and Nick
Chiles! Will they be able to make
Big Deputy Royce “Eat Crow”? We will
see this Saturday, May 3rd, at the
Mountain Motor Nationals!
