CHUCK ULSCH
PRO MOD WINNER
The first War on Wheels of the 2013 season brought out a huge crowd, lots of great racing and 8 men looking to claim the title of the Last Man Standing. In this unique Pro Mod format, there is no qualifying. To further add to the drama, the drivers have no idea who they’re racing, nor what lanes they are in, until a random card draw in the staging lanes. Held on the 1/8 mile, it’s a heads up, run what you brung, fight to the finish. With the quickest winning times moving on to the next round, any one of these 8 drivers, including Ed Burnley, former two time track champion, making his long awaited return to MIR following injuries. The final round brought us to veterans, more than capable of dropping a 3 second pass at any time, Chuck Ulch and Bill Meadows. At the start, both drivers left the line together, before problems set in for Meadows and Ulsch powered his way to a 4.127 second win and the title of Last Man Standing, and the big cash purse.
Join us for the next Wednesday night extravaganza, War on Wheels II, on Wednesday night July 10th.
